Duplicate Calendar Entries
About 98% of the time that I create a calendar entry, I get duplicate entries. Does anyone else see this? It's kind of annoying. I quickly searched the forums and didn't see anything.

This is the first time I have heard of this happening. Could be an isolated incident. Perhaps try using third party software like Pocket Informant. I love that program and it is great to use!

Let us know how (if) you solve the problem.

I actually tried Pocket Informant and it caused syncing problems so I got rid of it and the syncing problems disappeared.

Nope,
the duplicate entry shows up the second I create the first one. When I delete the duplicate entry it never shows up again. The only program I use that fools with much is Battery Bar. Could this possibly be causing any problems?

I have Battery Bar and I don't have those kind of problems. Battery Bar is not the problem. When you put in a calendar entry, are you entering it on the PPC or in desktop Outlook and at what point does it duplicate?

I enter it on my 4155. When I'm in the Calender I click on "new". When I enter the info and click "OK" duplicate entries show up. They are identical. It also happens if I intiate the "New" from the Today Screen. Ideas?

I have never heard of that problem. I do know that people have different experiences though. Either way, something is probably wrong with a program confliction. I can suggest three things:

1) If you have uninstalled any programs recently, you could go through File Explorer and delete any leftover files.

2) Also, try going into ActiveSync and change around your calendar syncing options. I don't think that is the problem, but it sure is worth a shot.

3) If the problem really annoys you and you use the calendar a lot, the only thing I could think of is to try a Hard reset.

Actually, I just figured it out. It IS caused by Battery Bar. I have checked "Tapping X Closes Programs" under the Power Adjust settings. When I unchecked this, the problem went away. I repeated this serveral times. Does anyone else use this setting in Battery Bar?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Now to get the programmers to update Battery Bar because I like using that feature.

To be quite honest I also turned off my option to close programs using X as it caused some problems for me; mostly lockups. Since I don't add too many appointments directly in pocket outlook but desktop outlook I have not noticed duplicates.

Great to hear you solved the problem!

I have always like the X system they have in place. Clicking X to close a program would get a little frustrating for me. I like the fact that you can open a program, click the X and open another one, and atill be in the other one. Makes it simple for the Alt+F4 PowerToy I use.
