Getting H4355 Soon & Very Anxious!
My first post! Hello all.

Ok, so you read the title an dyou get the idea. I feel like its my birthday!

I have a few questions..

1. How come there arent many pictures online seeing the H4355 in action with like Outlook and Word, etc. I would love to see more images, if anyone has a link to such a thing.

2. I have read many reviews and searched google, but i would like to know specificly what Outlook handles, types of servers, etc and its full ability of what it can do. I purchased my H4355 from some nice people, i spoke to them. I read that there is a Outlook key of some sort? SHould i be woried? the auction is including everything as new..

3. I have purchased a Linksys WAP and was wonderin if this would be able to use the WAP to get out to the net.

4. How does dealing with listening to music work? like using Winamp on your pc? Is there a application that you have to use already on the H4355?

5. I read somewhere that the h4355 already has MSN Messenger, can you not download and install like AOL IM or Yahoo Mess.?

6. Where does on get applicatiosn? ive seen http://www.freecabs.de/ how do you determine which is for what PPC?

I think thats all am really looking for and even some opinions, remarks, tips, tricks suggestions would be cool. I want to know as much as i can about my new arriving baby!

I've read its an excellent unit, eventhough i hear that MS Mobile 2003 SE offers some cool features not on the H4355.. Anyway to upgrade?

Welcome to the site! You will find good information here and great people.

1. Don't have any links that comes to mind that gives pics of the h4355 with Pocket Word or Pocket Outlook. If you have specific questions regarding how they work then feel free to post the questions.

2. Outlook (if you are referring to the desktop) is a PIM manager. As far as email it can access any email that conforms to IMAP or POP3. You can also use it with Microsoft Exchange servers.

3. Yes, you can use a WAP to access the internet using the h4355.

4. There are several apps available to allow you to listen to music on the h4355. It comes with Windows Media Player. You can use WMP to listen to windows media formatted music or MP3s. There are other apps such as Winamp for the PPC, GSPlayer, PocketMusic and others.

5. MSN Messenger is included on the h4355. You can also get AOL IM for the PPC as well. Not too sure about Yahoo messenger.

6. There are tons of sites to get applications. First off is our store here. You can purchase great software here and at the same time support the site. There is also freewareppc.com, pocketgear.com, handango.com and others.

I would encourage you to look at the tutorial "What Can I Do With My iPAQ" which is found here. There is tons of great information there for you to get the most out of your iPAQ experience.

2. Outlook (if you are referring to the desktop) is a PIM manager. As far as email it can access any email that conforms to IMAP or POP3. You can also use it with Microsoft Exchange servers.

Outlook. Outlook on the desktop is used to send and receive email. Pocket Outlook is on the PPC. You can also use the inbox in Pocket Outlook to send and receive email.

When purchasing a PPC a version of Outlook for the desktop comes with the PPC on the companion CD that ships with the unit.

You got it. Inbox on the PPC is for email (sending and receiving).

Contacts, Appointments, Tasks and Notes are synchronized to Outlook and the desktop.

Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade to WM2003 SE for any owner of an iPAQ 2200, 4300, 4100, 1900, 5500 series or older iPAQs.
