SD chaos
I plugged my SD card into a card reader to use it on my girlfriend's pc, but when I put the card back in my ppc, it didn't read it. Whenever I try to reformat it, the thing sits there for awhile and wont turn off until I eject the card. When I turn it back on, the thing says the card has successfully been reformatted, but lo and behold it still will not read it. I have left it for over an hour and nothing happened. I have a 512MB SD card, can anyone help?

Does it work if you leave it in her pc? Can you copy files to/from it? Make sure that you are doing a full format, not a quick format. Also, see if you can use it in another handheld device. If you can't get it to work at all, it might simply be dead (if something looks like poop, smells like poop, and feels like poop, then it is most likely poop).

If you are not using one of these already I would look into getting either Pocket Mechanic or Storage Tools. Both apps have the ability to do full formats of storage cards as well as diagnostics (scandisk, etc.) You can get it from this site's software store by clicking on the Shopping tab at the top of this page and going down to Software.

Adninja, whats the make of your SD card and does it have any special codes / serial numbers stamped on it anywhere?
