WiFi Manager
My friend bought a Qtek PDA/phone, with Pocket Pc 2003SE.
He has an application called WiFi manager, that is similar to Bluetooth manager, but for WiFi instead.
I’m wondering if anybody knows a similar program that works on iPAQ 4150??

What are you looking to do?

If you turn WiFi on, then go
Start -> Settings -> Connections Tab, Connections Icon -> Advanced Tab, Network Card box
you'll get to your Configure Wireless Networks screen.

This should list the WLANs your 4150 knows about. Tap a network to configure it, or tap and hold for available options (these change if the network is available, etc).

This is the closest functionality I can see to the Bluetooth Manager. Does this help?

I regularly use the sequence that christofire has delineated. Does anyone know a way to create a "shortcut" to the "Configure Wireless Networks" screen?

Yes, there is a way.

I've put a shortcut file at http://www.dash.dsl.pipex.com/ipaqhq...onnections.lnk

If you copy this file to your iPaq (into My Device, Windows, Start Menu if you want it on the Start Menu) then you will go straight to the Connection setup screen, and if wireless is active then it'll go to the wireless connection setup screen.

The file was made using the information at this Microsoft page.

Another useful tool is pocketWinc:
http://www.cirond.com/pocketWinc.html

It show you all available wireless networks (+ signal strength) and makes you conect to them.

I use Winc and it works great. Much better than the built in stuff.

The problem is, in the Configure Wireless Networks screen, it remembers the old networks. I have to delete them one by one manually. Is there a way to auto "purge" the outdated network names?
