Sync Issues
Hi,

I am having issues while synchronizing my HP IPAQ 4155. No matter which connection mode I use (i.e., Bluetooth, IR, USB Cradle or USB Sync-n-Charge Cable) if I disconnect from that mode once and then re-connect it, I can't synchronize anymore. So, the 1st time I synchronize, it works fine. If I keep it connected, it works fine (continuously synchronizes). But, if I disconnect and then re-connect it back, it gets connected but doesn't synchronize. It would then only synchronize if I restart my machine.

Can someone please help me out?

Thanks,
Kaushik.

Welcome to iPaqHQ!

When you restart the machine are you referring to the desktop or the PPC?

Sometimes that happens periodically with my desktop (well used to). I am running XP Pro. I upgraded to SP2 which deals with some USB issues. Also make sure that you are using the latest version of Activesync which is 3.7.1 (build 4034).

Well, it's not just happening with USB connections. The same issue happens with IR as well as Bluetooth connection, too. Also, I am using the latest version of Activesync. In fact, I have uninstalled Activesync & re-installed it, too. Still have the same issue.

I was having the same problems. Fresh reinstall of office seems to have fixed it up.

So, you mean I have to re-install the entire MS Office 2003? Or just MS Outlook?

Fresh MS office, but have you tried reinstalling activesync (3.7.1),
If yes then Office as suggested by Roadkill.

I had this issue with Nokia mobile when sync, i tried reinstalling the sync software in safe mode, and from there onward no issue. (Safe mode with Networking, as this software requires TCP/IP to install)
