PDA mounting solution?
I am using an Ipaq 4150 and have just bought a Fortuna Cip On GPS reciever. Now I've got this stuff I just want a nice inexpensive way to mount the PDA in the car. Vent mounts aren't very good because the car has odd shaped vents? Anyone got any recommendations?

Thanks

Some photos of the inside of your car would help a few people suggest Ideas I should think, of the dashboard and things

I know its a pretty basic idea and you may not want to do it because it may not be that safe, depending on what you use to do it.

If you have a strong metal case for your iPAQ (the one from proporta.com is an excellent choice) you could probably attach a bit of Velcro on the back and the same for the dashboard of your car. It should be pretty strong, depending on the type you get, multiple little patches of Velcro will be the strongest way of doing it.

But, like I said, can't really suggest any more advanced, safer ways of doing it without having some idea what the inside of your car looks like

Cosidering the cost of my PDA, I opted to the Seidio mount with suction window mount. It's quite sturdy, and internal speaker is an added bonus. It was kinda expensive (~$70) but then again so was my PDA. It also has a vent mount but I'm not gonna use it.

I also use a Seidio mount. Yes it can appear to be expensive but I have found that the convenience of having one when driving turned out to be worth it. It powers my PPC as well as my BT GPS receiver. Plus since it is suction mounted on my windshield via a gooseneck I have the option of moving it in any direction. I also like the fact that it has a speaker which allows me to hear voice prompts from my PPC even if the radio is on. Without it I could not hear the tiny builtin speaker.
