new computer won't syn, W/IPAQ
have new XP media cntr & can't get to sync . ideas??

and make sure the WinXP firewall (or any other firewalls) gives ActiveSync complete access.

Thanks for the reaching out ! I found the answer: outlook 2002 vs 2003 they are different. I had to buy intellesync to get the Groupwise & outlook to work & co-exist. group wise & outlook use the same files or something. I'm not techy. Life is good now

The easiest way to check if a firewall is causing the problem is to completely turn off the firewall - if it all then sync's withotu a problem you know it is the firewall.

If it is the firewall have a look at the help files on how to give programmes access.
