Ok to run BetaPlayer from Storage Card?
Is it ok to install Betaplayer onto my SD card, or will it cause some slowdown while running movies? I noticed a bit of delay every once in a while while viewing a movie that was on the memory card, but I don't know if that had partly to do with Betaplayer being on SD.. Just wanna know if in general it is ok to have it there (saves a lot of space!).....

It should be fine. I have Betaplayer installed on my SD card and it works fine. Albeit my PQI SD card is very fast compared to SanDisk (for example).

I have it on my 'normal' Sandisk SD card and it works fine also

The only time an app should have problems running from a storage card is when it needs to access additional resources (ie. dll's or supproting files) during runtime. A video app should load itself totally into your available program memory then therefor not have to access anything from storage thereafter. That's assuming the app in question is written to be memory efficient.

I second everyone's reports. Betaplayer runs fine even from large SanDisk SD cards. I have movies stored on a number of SD cards, and I install a copy of Betaplayer on each card, so all I have to do is pop any card in and it's ready to go.
