connecting to internet through usb cradle
Ok, so this thing is totally driving me insane! I have an ipaq 4350, and many internet connection issues. I'll just ask about the most basic one first. I cant get it to do a pass through internet connection using the usb cradle. In the activesync options/rules window, if I have it selected connection "work", the ppc says "the page you are looking for cannot be found. If I select "the internet", the ppc says "cannot connect with current connection settings. to change your connection settings, tap settings." I have no idea what to change. According to the user guide "what I can do with my pocket pc" this all I have to do.......

1. Connected to a PC: Provided your PC is connected to the Internet and your iPAQ is connected to your PC via ActiveSync (either docked in its cradle or connected using a USB/Serial sync cable), you can have online access on your iPAQ. On the Tools-->Options-->Rules page of your desktop ActiveSync, make sure "Pass Through" option is enabled for the Internet.

Ive done this.....I get no internet connection. Everything else syncs up though.

My operating system is xp pro, with sp2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By chance have Windows XP (built in) or another's firewall running, if so try it off.

More then likely one like ms's FW is the culprit.

Let us know if was this or something more sinister..

Nope, firewall is turned off. I think it has to be something with connection settings on the ppc.......its killing me! If there's any info I can give to help this along, let me know.

Glyn, try posting in the forum for your device. This is for the older 4000 series ipaqs that probably have different settings to yours. It's unlikely that anyone with a 4150/4350 will be able to help, but if you try the RZ1750 forum (here: http://www.ipaqhq.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=45 ) you might have better luck.
