Active Sync: Meeting Request
I sync my iPAQ at work and at home. When I sync at home I receive unresolved calendar conflicts. It appears to be with the meeting requests. I go through the steps to resolve the conflicts but they do not resolve. Has anyone had this trouble? Is there a solution?

I have something very similar going on... Lot's of "unresolveable" calendar conflicts at home. FYI - I fully uninstalled/re-installed activesync, and it did not help. Hopefully someone can chime in with a fix. I think it may have something to do with reocurring meetings, or appointments. Not sure tho.

Good luck.

I also installed ActiveSync 3.8, and no luck.

This problem is caused by the email addresses of the other attendees from the meeting (well always has been in my case).

When resolving - make sure you either create a contact for the person - or if one exists make sure you choose the correct choice of email address when the box pops-up.

Hey iPaqJOE... What versions of Office (outlook) are you using at home and work. I am using the Outlook that came with the PDA at home (2002?), and O2K3Pro at work. I am starting to think there is different functionality between these two programs that may be causing the hang up. I am going to try and install 2003, and see if that resolves it. I let you know.

By the way Rob - Thanks for the input. I am locking up before getting the chance to see what the problem is. You've got a great "view my PDA". Great info.

Thanks,

Ryan

Now I've got the same version of office/outlook installed on both PC's, and still have the problem...

Fastelex - have you tried a soft reset?

Possibly it is time for a hard reset if not.

Many many hard resets....

I think you are right about contacts in a meeting that are not available at home, but I can't tell which meeting is causing the problem, because it locks up when I try to resolve the conflicts.

I have the same problem since I have an iPAQ. Creating a new person doesn't help. Also soft resets do not help.

Well, I had an epiphany... everything syncs just fine, except for the unresolved meetings... So I just won't try to resolve the problems.

Issue solved - but I hate not being able to do a complete sync. Green is so much nicer looking than yellow.

Anyone try reinstalling office? I used to have alot of sync issues before I removed and reinstalled office. Only used 2003 though. Might be worth a shot.

this happened 2 me too. i think it has 2 do w/ d contacts in d from, to & cc fields in d calendar/meeting entries. creating new contacts doesnt resolve d problem. just find those meeting requests on ur calendar & edit/remove d contacts in d from, to & cc fields. it worked 4 me.

Problem Solved.
Problem Solved. You need to have the same contact information on your computer at home. For example, at work, I complete meeting requests, selecting from the "network" addressbook. Those same names need to be in your "contacts" at home.
