argggh. sorry I am bitchy about this...but I now have hours in trying to get this thing to work right and it just plain won't. I had it synching and using the wireless adapter for internet working just fine after I got it...but then I let it run down and had to reload everything. Now I can't get either of those two things working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything several times. I had it synching at one point but the wireless wouldn't work....then I got the wireless working and it wouldn't synch. What really pisses me off is I can't find anywhere where it shows exactly how ALL of the settings should be. Everything seems to rely on the automated set up routines...well I would like to see what settings are wrong. I have well over the cost of two top end PCs in this thing and it shouldn't be causing me grief. I have an external keyboard that I can't get loaded because I can't synch the darn thing...and I have really needed to do some work the last couple weeks so my investment in this thing is going to pot because I can't get any productivity out of it. Does anyone have any suggestions that can help ease my frustrations? My girlfriend is in the hospital and I really would like to visit her not mess with this thing...but I've been messing with this thing all morning and gotten no where.

Welcome to the site

First get your iPaq syncing and working how you want WITHOUT wifi (as you cannot set up a partnership with wifi) - also make sure that your Parnership name when you create it do this does NOT include an 'strange' character - such as the "_" that the default name has as wifi does not work with such characters (don't even ask why MS would create a default name that automatcially STOPS you from using wifi ).

Then, follow the steps in Ike's wifi guide - there is a link to the guide in my MyPDA - linked under my username.
