Ipaq Serial Interface ??
I was wondering coudl I do this with a IPAQ. I wanted to use the IPAQ like a data forwarder. I want to connect to the IPAQ from my PC via bluetooth. Type some commands in Hyperterminal and then have a serial cable connected to the IPAQ so it would transmit the commands to the device connected to the serial cable.

Connecting what device to the iPAQ?
As Bluetooth has a *very* limited range, wouldn't it be wiser to just eliminate the iPAQ out of the equation and run a serial cable from the PC to the device?

Of course, it would help to know exactly what kind of device you are referring to

Basically I want to use some old IPAQs I have left over as Bluetooth receiivers without having to purchase just a regular BT serial device for testing of a project I thought of. I will be connecting the IPAQ to a PIC IC or HC12 to control various motors.

I don't think there is anything in the WM2003 that lets it function as a pass thru device. There has to be a piece of software to receive the data from one port and send it out the other. I have a feeling you are going to have to either write an application to do that or buy one. Have you checked on handango.com for one? Possibly a modem or terminal program might do what you want.

Sorry I can't be more help!
