Ipaq 4700 freezes all the time

I have a ipaq 4700 which stands in a cradle and is connected to my desktop via usb/active sync.
Almost every day when I want to use it ,it is frozen. Only a soft reset wil get it goiing again.
I tried a hard reset, installing it again but it stil get stuck all the time.
What can cause this and who can help me with this.

I also have a 4700 and it freezes at the same time every day. it used to be at 4:00PM but after dst changes, it now freezes every day at 5:00PM. I assumed that there is some sort of housekeeping occurring at this time ??

this is a known problem along many others

in the HP WM5 ROM
but there's hope
there's a new WM5 ROM for the 4700 created by a Russian guy named KOZHURA
which works absolutely superb no problems at all
fast and stable with no issues at all
