Hmm iPaq rx4317 could not power up

I had my iPaq rx4317 connected to my laptop for sync and charging as usual (I did it many time already before). It was being charged up normally, but after an hour or so, it "died" and the laptop ActiveSync indicating "not connected", and the charging amber LED on the device stopped flashing (normally flashing when being charged). I could not power it up. I tried disconnect and reconnect with my laptop, removal and reinserting the battery, soft and hard resets, etc. But the device showed no reaction at all, did not get turned on. Please kindly advise what I can do. Many thanks. Please kindly help.

Try removing your battery for several hours (overnight). Then reinsert the battery and see if you can charge the pocket pc up.

Thanks, Julie. I did that several times already and using different chargers/laptops. There was absolutely no reaction. The battery had been being charged for an hour or so before the incident happened.

I forgot to mention in my first post that right after the device "died", I noted that "Windows Defender" was doing a full scan on my laptop (I had "Windows Defender" on automatic scan mode to do full scan once a week). I am not sure if it had anything to do with the "death" of my device, perhaps with some corruption. But then again, I think I should be able to at least power the device up if this is the case. Please kindly help and advise. Many thanks.

I'm sorry, I really don't know what the problem could be. You may need to contact a repair shop.
