First thing to do is to back the device up using Activesync and then try a soft reset.
Oftentimes, a soft reset will fix such problems. However, if it doesn't use the AS Explorer option on your pc (with the device connected!) to look for duplicate icons in the device start up menu. If there are duplicates, they can be deleted safely without uninstalling the program.
If that doesn't work (and when you have backed up the device) try a hard reset and then restore the unit.
If that is unsuccessful, try a hard reset and install the programs one-by-one (with a soft reset between each install) and see how that works.
Make sure that you have a current backup before you attempt any of the above, that allows you to get back to where you are in the event that anything is unsuccessful.
Good luck
