I don't own one but I really like:

- 128 MB
- Built in WiFi
- The possibility of sleeves for PCMCIA and extended battery

Don't like:

- Fingerprint scanner (overkill for me, would rather have another SD slot there)
- If I understand correctly, they don't give that standard flip cover that they did with the 5455? I loved that thing!

That is the coolest PDA I have ever seen. The only downside is the price. The biometric gizmo is overkill like JmE stated above.

I have one lying around here as we speak (my uncle forget to take his home) I really like the features but I dont like the way it feels in the hand, its so slippery (I also have this with 1915 though) and the fingerprint scanner just is too much for me.

The fingerprint scanner is one of the reasons I bought the 5550. It is easy to use, and reliable, and I have a lot of private information kept on my PDA. Much less fuss than passwords. Overall, really pleased with it. The OS is a different matter - some things are just too complex to configure. Like an IP address, for example.

- faster than the 5455, even with that iPAQ upgraded to WM2003

I really like the 128MB and built in WIFI. But the cost is out of my range right now.

large beautiful screen, wifi/bt integrated, 128mb RAM, and it is still the most expandable PDA on the market. Good unit IMO.

I think it's unanimous.

Love the builtin WiFi and the memory.

Don't really care for the Fingerprint scanner.

Dislike the price.

I love mine. I like the memory and built in WiFi, The removable battery is great.

Also the ability to use the sleaves increases its usefulness. I have the expantion sleave with the CF and extra battery. Most of my MP3's are on the CF card so when Im listening to tunes I get the extra play time due to the xtra battery.

Have not used the Blue tooth or finger print scanner yet

Size wise its about the same as my Axim but I think the screen on the IPAQ is a little bigger.

Price did not bother me only because I didn't pay for it my company did

Well if my company paid for one I would jump all over it.

love the 5555
I love my 5555. The wifi is great. I can't wait to get my hands on a bluetooth gps system. The screen is perfect. The fingerprint reader is overkill, but it attracts alot of attention.

Would like to see USB become standard on PocketPC's. HP has sleeves and others have serial connections, but with so many USB devices available why not have a built in USB port. Would be nice to access an external hard drive or even possible a dvd-rom using USB.

I love the wide functionality of the device, and security is a huge issue for me, so I like the biometric scanner (my older 3835 was password-protected, so the ability to just swipe my thumb is a great boon.) However, I wish the biometric system was integrated into other apps, like eWallet, which I use all the time.

Price is a major issue, but I got mine at Costco.com, so it didn't sting as much as some, plus, with their great return policy, I don't have anything to fear if I drop the thing.

Form factor was important to me as well, as I invested in a pcmcia sleeve a while ago. However, with the built-in wi-fi, I haven't used the sleeve yet! I do wish that they had included a cover case, as I have misplaced the one that came with my older iPAQ :/

Cheers,
-Pat
