HP 5450 CF Expansion sleeve storage card disappeared
I have currently bought an CF card expansion sleeve, however, the "storage card 2" keep disappearing and I can not access files in my CF card until I have to soft reset the ipaq. Any solution to keep the "storage card 2" alive. Please help. Thank you.

I had a similar problem with my Jornada but have not had it on my iPAQ. A message kept popping up that said 'Would you like to format Storage Card 2 and all of its contents?' I got really freaked because I had valuable information on it but I found that if you just take out the card and put it back in and then go to File Explorer and rename Storage Card 2 back to just Storage Card. It should be fine, but try it out and see what happens. You might want to back up your data first. Good luck!

I run into the same thing. I have the HP CF Expansion pack with both the slim battery that came with the expansion pack and an extra larger battery.

Lately it seems like when I'm doing anything the battery pack fault error msg comes up and tells me i have to charge it soon or i will lose my data, i check the battery options, and my main and backup are 96% and 100% respectively, but if i check the expansion pack it shows that there is no battery. About this same time, my CF card (i have tried 4 different cards, it happens on all of them) either disappears, or a msg pops up asking me if i want to format the card.

removing the CF card from the ipaq, and the ipaq from the expansion pack, soft resetting the ipaq, plugging it back into the expansion sleeve, powering it up and then putting the CF card back in seems to work, but that is a giant pain in the butt.

is this a driver issue? Is there something I can do to fix this?

Thanks in advance guys
