HOW DO I ACTIVE SYNC with MY work MS EXCHANGE SERVER
I have a 5455 IPAC and I was wondering how to set it up to access my WORK MS exchange email from a wireless network. I am having problems with the active sync becuase it is looking for a Username and Password DOmain. I enter my work username password and domain and that does not work. I am connected to the ACCESS point at work nad have access to the companies defualt gateway. I know this because I can access the internet through my Ipac.

Any ideas?
Thanks for the info
Bob

Hey Bob,

Do you have Microsoft's Mobile Messaging server product? I believe that you need this as a conduit between the Exchange server and your PPC. Your PPC does not sync directly with Exchange itself.

So:
PPC -> PC (AS) -> Exchange
PPC -> Mobile Message Server -> Exchange

I can't remember the name of their Mobile Message Server product but I'll try to look it up.

Here it is:

You can synchronize data between your mobile device and a server if your company has purchased and installed Microsoft Exchange Server with Exchange Server ActiveSync.

Hey one more thing. Even though you are wireless you CAN still sync with your PC. So wireless syncing is possible without the Exchange add-on.

This of course requires your PC to be turned on and connected to the network.
