If I understand correctly, you are installing some of the software to a storage card? If this is the case, a couple of things come to mind:
- Are any of the programs installed to the storage card set to automatically start up or are Today plugins? My understanding is that it is not a good idea to install such software to a storage card because there maybe a slight delay at startup while the OS initializes the card. (Programs that startup automatically have a shortcut in \Windows\Startup)
- You may want to check the card for errors.
PC: You could use a card reader. You can check the card for errors using Scan Disk or Disk Check (which one depends on the OS).
PPC: You could use a program such as
Pocket Mechanic or
Storage Tools to scan for errors. Both have trial versions. Of the two, I am more familiar with and prefer Pocket Mechanic, it does a lot more.
I hope that this helps.
