Accessories Wanted
I have been looking on the web for the following items and I sure would appreciate your suggestions or ideas.

1) Charging kit that serves regular outlet, PC with sync and auto. Seidio has one, but looking for your ideas on what you have/like.

2) I bought a 1 gb cf card for my axim 4 weeks ago. I need to get an expansion sleeve for it. Seidio has one with built in battery, 60 bucks. seems reasonable, compared to the HP pricing.

However, anyone have this sleeve from seidio, and issues with it. Any other ideas or vendors.

Thanks A lot.

Zacksha:

You need to be careful about the third party sleeves. While some of them do have secondary batteries, not all of them extend the battery time of the entire iPaq. The extra battery only powers the CF Card; your iPaq's run time is not improved, even with no CF cards installed. If a CF card is installed, it will help run time by reducing the load on the main battery, but when the main battery runs out, the iPaq will be useless even though the extra battery still has a charge. For these reasons, I got an Expansion Pack Plus. It does give a better run time, and the cover is semi-transparent,, which is something I really like. I got mine for $US59.99 from a vendor on eBay. Shipping was $US15.00 to Canada, I think it was $US10.00 to the US.

Also, the battery pack on those third party sleeves I was talking about need to be recharged on their own charger. The HP sleeve recharges on the cradle, or even with a USB synch cable.

I have used the HP/Compaq CF Expansion Pack Plus for a little over 12 months and have been pleased with the battery life overall plus the clear cover aids the protection of the screen. The joy is even with the extra bulk and weight it is still pocketable (though a large pocket is needed)

Have you tried Proporta ( www.proporta.com ) for the additional charging tools.

Large pocket indeed! What you need is more like a shoulder holster to tote this brick around. But, I do love the slightly larger screen of my 3955. I think it makes a huge difference.

I use the exp pack plus when connecting to the internet along with a Socket CF card. The battery life far exceeds the amount of time I care to surf the internet on the small screen. By the way, I highly recommend The Socket wifi card. It's advertised as a low power consumption card and certainly seems to be. I previously used a D-Link 660w card which sucked the battery down pretty quickly.
