I did the upgrade to 4.3.5.414 (WPA) and 1.103.5.164 (WPA). As far as I can tell, network access is still working fine, and there are only a few changes on the network setup screens. Doesn't seem to have done me any harm, but it did take me 4 or five times to install it, the directions aren't all that clear.

WPA is some sort of wireless security, Wireless Protected Authentication, I believe. I don't use it but I did upgrade to the WPA versions. Everything works fine after all of the updates. I did not have to setup any new connections or change settings on my existing one.

After the updates, if my Access Point supported WPA, I should be able to enable this option and connect. That's the point of the WPA upgrade, I believe.

Yes, HP's numbering system and instructions were very confusing. Here are the steps I did:
- Previously updated to ROM 1.10.10
1) Install SP27632
2) Soft-reset
3) Turn on wifi: The version numbers would not change under Asset Viewer until I did the soft-reset and turned on wifi. My iPAQ connected to wifi correctly.
4) Install SP27595
5) Soft-reset
6) Turn on wifi: The version numbers would not change under Asset Viewer until I did the soft-reset and turned on wifi. My iPAQ did *NOT* connect to wifi at this point but the Orange "connecting" light did flash.
7) Install SP27605
8) Soft-reset
9) Turn on wifi. The version numbers would not change under Asset Viewer until I did the soft-reset and turned on wifi. My wifi connected and I was good to go.

I hope that this helps. Thanks to folks on various forums for the hints on the order to install these.

Thanks I followed your steps and it upgraded without a clitch. HP needs to make upgrading simple, quick, and safe. I should not have to keep my fingers cross when upgrading.

I'm glad it went well.

Something else that HP should do: Send out their Driver/Update alert emails in a timely manner! I just received the email alerting me to these updates today, almost a month later!

I upgraded almost when it came out. No real probs, I did have a slow down and freezing even with soft-resets. So I hard reset reinstalled all my apps but one, Omega's Battery Pack, I've now come to the conclusion that it was causing all sorts of issues. All works much better and faster since removing OBP!!!!!!

I agree the installation procedure was slightly confusing, I gritted my teeth adn hoped for the best!!!!!!

Yup. I did both. Each one went without a hitch. WiFi worked with no problems after the fact. Directions are a mess. I think I read them 4 times.
