I'm new to the forum. I own a 1910 and a 4155. I have been looking for a 5555 to add to the list because I will be giving one of the other models to a friend. My question is; why is it so hard to find a 5555? I have searched dozens of websites and stores in the Baltimore area and it's impossible to find one. Even the hp website offers only refurbished ones...
Are they discontinuing this model to make way for the new summer models coming out (63xx)? Or are they just soooooo popular that they can't keep them in stock?
Also, do you think a refurb would be good? Thanks for a great forum!!!!!

Welcome to iPaqHQ!

This model will be retired along with the expansion sleeves. HP is coming out with newer models to replace the h5555 in a little while. I would hold off a bit until the new ones come out.

Thanks! That was my thought too. If I buy one now, the accessories would soon be outdated, etc. I'll wait to see what comes this summer. I just hope the new models aren't all 'phone ipacs'. I want to keep my cell phone separate.
