What to buy?
I'm a newbie to the forum, but not to Ipaq.
I had a 3835, and just bought a 5555. Now I'm looking for assys.

I know in the world of Harley-Davidson some items are better bought from the factory, and some from the aftermarket world. What's the general rule of thumb with Ipaq, stick with the HP stuff or go for aftermarket?

I like the HP mini keyboard that the Ipaq slips into, not the foldable, but the one that puts the QWERTY buttons on the bottom. Anyone have issues with this item?

I'm also looking for a camera too. Should I stick with HP or are there better ones out there for less money?

I'd also like a GPS system too, but don't know where to start.

As for cases, well I have read all the postings and see that it's really an individual choice.

I open to any and all suggestions.

Welcome to iPaqHQ!

That's a whole lot in that post.

As far as getting items aftermarket I would check for reviews first before spending money just to make sure that it will indeed work for you.

I can't speak for the h5555 as I have a h2215 but I have the thumboard for it and it works great. I use it mostly for surfing on mobile sites such as this site here.

For a camera you should be able to use any SDIO camera that supports the Pocket PC.

For a GPS system, you have your pick of a CF GPS, SDIO GPS or a Bluetooth GPS. To use a CF GPS you would need a sleeve. Bluetooth GPS is something that I believe is the way to go.
