I understand that it will be available around June 8th. Again nothing official that I have seen from HP or T-Mobile.

That doesn't surprise me.

Funny thing but i just had a discussion with somebody at the airport about PPC phones and how he has one (so does my wife). It looks like places like T-mobile are experts at phones but have no clue when it comes to the ppc platform. So when you call and ask for service on why u can't synch up or get email...they literally have no clue! It looks like we've got the technology going but it might take some time to get the people trained to support it properly.

I doubt HP would release a product within a week of its official announcement. So I think that scraps the June 8th release date. I am guessing around early-late July.

It's here....
This is a living, breathing monster. There will be a press release on Monday, the 26th, announcing the release of the h6315. The release date is tentatively around the 8th of August. No price has been set as of yet.

Apparently, purchase of the 6315 includes a
bluetooth headset and a thumb keyboard. Very interesting!

As far as getting info from a T-Mobile rep, they don't leak this info to most people. This info is considered confidential and not for dissemination. Oops!
Cheers!

I am torn between this device and the hx4700. I already have a MDA II, but the MS Bluetooth stack is horrible and the MDA attachable keyboard is pathetic. I love iPAQ devices and maybe I should get both the 6300 and 4700 I may be able to swing it if I sell my MDA II, but I first need to see the actual specs on the 6300 because I still don't think the memory configuration has been confirmed.

I am egarly awaiting the 6300 series. Finally a truly all-in-one device!

As far as T-mobile & ppc goes, they only have one PPC phone right now which is quite old. If you need help with a PPC ask to be transferred to thier Wireless Data Group, which is trained for data devices like the Blackberry & PPC platform. The regular customer care people are barely competent enough to handle troubleshooting the regular phone we sell, let alone something a "complex" as a PPC. But I did hear they are ranked #1 in customer service in the united states this year by JD Power. So there must be at least one or two people who can help with any questions. The problem is getting to those people!
