you will need to mod your tivo and install a nic either wi-fi or hardwired. You will also need to install a mod to the standard tivo software and install what I think is called Tivoweb.
If you are not happy opening up your tivo then you could try pacelink who will do it for you.
My understanding is this basically gives you a web interface to access your Tivo over the net.
Search the forum first as there are lots how to guides.
If you have a US series 2 Tivo then I think all the Internet access stuff is builtin.
