Thank you guys so much for creating this great and informative forum. I don't think I've ever run across one that seems both so relaxed and has people answering on an expert level without talking to newbies like me.
I've been reading the threads about the 168MHz processor on the 63xx, and I'd like to ask a couple of questions.
I don't really use a lot of video or high-tec sorts of apps. Mainly I 'll be using the HP 63xx for it's specified uses (MMS, SMS, emails, pics). And it's "standard" PDA stuff (contacts, calender, to-do list ('Tasks'), sync'ing, bluetoothing, etc). The only two programs that I run that are even close to being vaguely CPU intensive are my Animated Themes program (for the start screen), either Microsoft or Mobius Readers (for assorted books and reference guides i use in the course of my work) and MSN Messenger (and possibly yahoo if they ever get around to doing a PDA version), and spreadsheets.
Question 1: do any of these programs cause either CPU usage problems or an unusual drain on battery power? i realize that if you are using the thing as a book viewer on high brightness for 4 hours it will drain the battery faster than if it is on mid-bright for two hours, or whatever. I more concerned with a battery usage rate that would be unanticipated based on known variables. sorry if I'm not being clear. It's late and most of my higher brain functions have shut down about an hour ago.
Question 2: if no CPU usage problems or wierd battery stuff based on these programs, besides obviously high usage programs like video playback or high output audio, what sorts of programs would be likely to run the CPU usage rate (and therefore the battery usage rate) up through the roof? This is more of a pre-emptive "what-if" question.
Thanks again, in advance, for your help.
