n00b 6315 connectivity questions...
Boy, I am really dreading asking these two questions but I honestly can't figure it out.

1) My 6315 shows that I have GPRS connectivity. When I try to open IE and load mobile.yahoo.com I get the message "The page you are looking for cannot be found". Just in case, I took the SIM card out of the 6315 put it in my old Treo 180 and I was able to open mobile.yahoo.com flawlessly.

2) When I try the Wi-Fi connection, I get the Amber flashing light showing there's a network but I'm not connected. I completely opened my wireless network to make it easy (turn off access control, encryption, etc.) and I assign IP addresses automatically and have DHCP turned on. No joy. It never connects and I can't see it as an attached device from the Router Admin.

I REALLY am reading the manual but something's not working. Help?!?!

More info...
It appears that I can send and receive text messages and may even be able to IM over Yahoo! and AIM.

Maybe it's a browser prob?

Make sure you have the settings correct. Go to Connection manager, click on manage existing connection. Should say Tmobile. Edit it. Make sure the modem is set to Cellular Line (GPRS). Hit next and make sure this reads "internet2.voicestream.com" and that there is no user name and password listed and advanced settings is set to auto detect. (See Pics Below)

No ideas for you here, My Dlink Router and the 6315 hit it off well and are good friends now.

internet3.voicestream.com did the trick!

Tech Support suggests that my Wi-Fi modem's not working properly. I'm going to test it tomorrow at a Starbucks.

Yahoo is already on your IPAQ
tap START from the TODAY screen, and then tap PROGRAMS, and you should find Yahoo in there along with MSN, AOLIM etc.

I hope that helps-Kraig
