Invalid icons in Programs folder...
So, I was installing and removing programs today from the 6315 when I came across something really annoying.

I inadvertently removed a bunch of games from the PPC. Interestingly enough, before I removed them, each game had an icon in the Programs folder AND the Games folder. When I removed the programs with ActiveSync, the icons in the Games folder were removed properly but they remained in the Programs folder. Tapping on the icon gives me an error (can not find application).

Any ideas?

that happens with pocket pcs not specific to 6315. i understand that you uninstalled some programs and some of the shortcuts stayed unremoved. those stay at the start menu folder in windows folder. just go erase them.

i would use the backup utility to backup the system when you have all the programs installed the way you want and the device is working perfectly for you. so you can go back to it whenever something unplasent happens.

from my view point, ppcs are great tools but still are so primitive and fragile. we are basically paying high price for the R and D for these gadgets so they can come up with better working devices for regular users.
