pmvalente,
Explore your device using activesync, then find the windows folder, and copy your .wav files to the 'rings' folder inside.

well i bought the 6315 2months after breing out. didnt see the reasoing behind paying 600 (tax and warrenty incl) for something that i wouldnt use. I switched businesses so I needed it again just bought it for 200. The price has dropped significanlty i would suggest buying if you UNDERSTAND something is beetter around the corner.

Are you saying you only pay 200, for 6315?

couldnt agree more, I have written tmobile and have started a boycot letter
I have had nothing but trouble with tmobile, has anyone tried downlaoding music to the 6315 using media player 10. what a joke.

Blacklight, I cannot say that I could possibly disagree with you more. T-Mobile has my $500, they extended my contract, and these are the facts:

1) T-Mobile knows the phone has issues
2) T-Mobile denies the phone has issues
3) HP refuses to support it
4) T-Mobile won't let me return it
5) T-Mobile's only concern is it has my $500 and they extended my contract. Even as a long term customer who has spent a great deal with them ($20k), the amount they care about me is NOTHING.

Blacklight, I don't blame you personally, but I cannot describe T-Mobile in terms other than as criminals or con-artists, because, they are.

And I don't blame T-Mobile for all the bugs in the phone. I suspect they are mostly Microsofts.

I blame T-Mobile for being willing to sell a phone with this many problems, and to not stand behind it.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS witth Tmobile
to you , you will regret it more than you can know. In the years I have been doing business with them, I have called well over 50 times and have never gotten through to a person with out getting the message, " do to high call volume" bla bla. They are one of the most inept companies you will ever do business with, I have conversations loggs pages long with thiese people and I assure you, you wiii regret the day you sign up with these people.

Hi there,
The best way to set .wav file as a ring tone is to to copy the .wav file on to the SD card from the source and copy the file to the "My Souunds"folder which is within "My Documents" folder. After the .wav file which you intend to be your ring tone is in the My Sounds folder , right click the file and you will get the set as ring tone option. Click on it and your ring tone is set.
Cheeers.

Yes, as another victim of HP-iPaq crappy conspiracy between HP & T-Mo, 1000% agreed...!!!

I think we should give 'em h3ll like the "precedence" class-action cases of the Palm-M130 & Treo-600.

Of course with this thing, that would mean $$$ because there is no solution other than refund. Cost containment has taken precedence over customer retention. Here are my favorite lines at T-Mobile: "Sir, the phone feature is only considered a secondary capability on the 6315". "We have to depend on HP to resolve the issues with this phone". "Sir, I know this is the fourth replacement we have sent you. This time we are sure the issues have been resolve and you will be satisfied".

As sorry as I feel for the support reps, I feel more sorry for the suckers that spend a grotesque amount of money in good faith, believing that manufacturer reputations and warranties mean something to HP or T-Mobile. In this case, they don't. They are both waiting for this thing to fade away through the attrition of expired warranties.

Go to IE's option...there is a setup to trick the site that required IE-6.

I know how you guys and girls feel. I've been with T-Mobile for only a month and a half and I'm on my THIRD 6315!! It's disgusting.

I'm so upset and frustrated I don't know what to do. I've been on the phone with TMO for hours at a time on hold, being transferred 4 times, useless troubleshooting, being sent another replacement... I'm sick and tired of it.

I don't even want to call back again because of all the hold times, transfers, garbage and runarounds that they put me through.

The 6315 is a (SLOW) decent PPC but a HORRIBLE phone. I need a reliable phone with similar features. Does anyone know how I can get TMO give me a WORKING phone with similar features for free and allow me to keep the 6315 for use as a PPC?

Thanks.

No display of waiting calls.
I am a new ipaq 6315 user. My problem is in call waiting, I am getting only the beep sound. Nothing is being displayed and no missed calls in the call log.
Anybody seen this problem ever?

Hi..

This info is from other forums by Bluelight.
Info for Ringtones on H63XX.

1) Cannot play Polyphonic Tones

2) Cannot play MP3's.

3) Can play MIDI but only single tone MIDI. Like the old phones you used to input tones in manually.

4) Can play WMA files.

5) Can play WAV files.

Your best bet is to use a Free converter to convert MP3 to WMA. Convert only 30~40 sec for 32kbps and MONO. Files should be around 140KB per file.

There's no use in converting it to Stereo cuz the Speaker is Mono and bluetooth headset are mono also.

Then save the files in your PDA under /Windows/Rings/

The select it under your ringtone manager.

Hope this helps people on Ringtone info.
