sms problems
hp 6315 Tmobile intercarrier sms replies work fine, but when I respond to a sms from a sprint number it will not go through. If I originate the sms however, it works fine. The only difference I can see is that it adds a +1 to the number when replying. Anyone with info on this one?

I have same issue with trying to comunicate via SMS to a Cingular phone. If I initiate the sms message. It works fine. I even get the reply from them, but if I try to choose reply to the cingular sms message, it says it goes, but they never receive it. If I initiate a new sms, they get it every time. The difference I see is, if I initiate the sms message from my contact list, it puts just the phone number. If I reply to a sms message I recieve, it puts the persons name in quotes and then the phone number on the to: field. I am assuming it is pulling that info from address book since it recognizes the inbound sms phone number and associates it with persons name.
Either way, the person never receives my message if I reply, and I never receive a error that it didn't go.

I am having the same problem too, that's actually why I came to the forums, to see if anyone had an answer.

I noticed that even deleting the person's name from the to field and taking out everything but the phone number doesn't result in the person getting the message. It's really annoying to have to make a new SMS every time.

I agree it is very annoying, I only hope they will come out with a fix. The other problem with that is if you send the SMS from the phone number listings they way we are doing it now then it will not save a copy of the sent message, it will save them only if you do it from the SMS message area that is not working correctly. Hmmmm
