IRDA Modem?
I know it is theoretically possible to connect my laptop to the internet via GPRS & Bluetooth but it really sucks. I spend 20mins re-pairing the devices and then get a throughput of about one byte per second (if that...).

However - the IR link always works like a dream for synching and file transfer.

Is it possible to use the IR link to make an internet connection?

Thanks

Graham

I am not aware of the abaility to do that - I would try to persevere with the bluetooth connection.

Has there been a driver upodate to the BT stack for your laptop that should be applied? as currently (as you say) something is not working right!

Pity,
I have a perfectly functional and stable laptop and a flakey and unstable phone so I never looked for a problem in that direction - I will check it out.
