Okay so I was trying to get a program that will allow me to use the 6316 as a remote, I know, I know the 6315 dosn't have a commercial IR or somthing like that, but I thought it might work if I got close enough. I just thought perhaps I could control my cd player in the car, ot better yet a friends if someone calls "shotgun" think of the fun that would bring. Changing stations, messing w/ volume or just turning it off alot . So anyways I tried out a few from Handango with no success, so I gave up and was trying to remove a program and it looked like it worked but when I go to programs there is some icon there. I go to Settings>Remove Programs>Griffin Tecnology Total Remote(the program I want to remove)>Remove>Yes and then I get this message:Uninstall unsuccessful. The program was not removed because these files are in use or are read-only. In the box below it lists: \Windows\Fonts\CCFTotalRemote.ttf I tried to search for that to try to remove but system couldn't find file. So not only can't I abuse my friends w/ a cool remote but now I can not remove the icon from my programs screen . Please help

Do a soft reset and try again. The software may still be running in the background. Also, make sure you have your irda turned off when trying to uninstall.

I did a bunch of resets and nothing worked, so i just decided to dfo a hard reset and re-install all of my stuff, it's not that bad, although i have been working on puting everything back since I submitted the thread oh well my wife can see me tomarrow

I had the same problem, not only does the software not work, it won't uninstall either, Total Pants more like.

The solution is to rename the file CCFTotalRemote.ttf to somethink like GriffinTechIsShit.ttf.

Reset the PDA, and rename the file back to the original name.

Should uninstall ok now, worked for me.

thanks i was stuck there i am just sampling novii.tv software i think i found my ultimate tv / remote control software... works on my 4700 like a charm
