h6340 Calendar sync causes hang
Hello,

I have my h6340 (EU version of the h6315) since october. Until yesterday, ActiveSync worked flawlessly. Yesterday however, when I ran the sync, the device hung (responded really slow) so I had to soft-reset it. It din not boot-up again (the progress bar reached 100% and stayed there - no 'today' screen). After hard resetting it and synchronizing again, same problem. I found out that the problem was related to calendar by selectively removing items from activesync.
I actually suspected calendar was to blame from the beginning since I experienced some problems with it earlyer (quickly clicking on some days in calendar hung the app - not the phone however).

My SW version is 1.00.36 (latest from HP support site) - but I doubt this specific version is to blame since the problem did not appear immediatelly after the rompaq installation.

Did anybody else experience similar behaviour?
Any hints?

Thanks,
i

p.s. Attempting to submit a support case on the HP site resulted in a page with the following text: "The system is currently unavailable. Please try again later. wpa-pl-wpaframework-10000" :-( phew....

Sometimes, I have similar problems, however, my case is different. I sync with Lotus Notes (including calendar) at the office and with MS Outlook at home. Therefore, sometimes I have problems with syncing - unresolved items and/or sometimes system hang-ups. However, it does not make me hard-reset. I expect that this is some kind of competibility of Lotus and Outlook.

As for your case, did you create any unusual items inside the calandar? Added attachments, pictures or similar? Maybe, it caused the problem?

As for support cases on HP site, they do not work at least for more than a month. I tried it several times, but had the same results

Thanks. I'll probably clear all the calendar events (at least the non recuring ones) and hope it's going to work with the items I create from now on.

same problem on ipaq 3835
I've got the same problem on my ipaq 3835. happened just about a month ago-- i ignored it. now it only is at 20% & won't go anymore. I tried to restore all my programs & because this 'stupid' thing is running, it won't restore my calendar. i've removed some calendar items, but still not working. if you find ANYTHING, please let me know. And now i see that my FIND will not find anything from my calendar!! Yipes!
