Hey all,

Im new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself. Ive been browsing the forum for a few weeks now reading various threads about the 6315. Some have said it is unusable while others have said it is very useful/stable with the updated ROM. Others have commented that they have gone throught several units due to defects. SO whats the OVERALL rating of thsi product.

I don't think anyone can give you an overall rating for the model - as each one will be commenting on their individual experiences

I too have been confused by the conflicting info, fully respect the input but when you are in the decision making phase......very confusing.

Only real problem I've seen is that, while using GPRS to surf the web (or stream live radio - really great!), all incoming calls get redirected to voicemail, and nothing shows on the phone. I've found that this doesn't just apply to the 6315, though. Personally, I love mine & can't live without it, and there're no other smartphones I'd rather use than this. No other phone (yet) has Bluetooth, WiFi, PPC, and such a large screen.

I am also very happy with my unit and would not want anything else. Perhaps you should focus on the comments post ROM update? Also, keep in mind that people tend to be more vocal when they are unhappy about something...

I have the 6340, nearly the same. I didn't have any bigger problems until now. I just broke my display 4 days ago, but this was my fault. On the other hand, I knwo now that HP has a good support. They pick the mobile-phone at home or at work up (by UPS), repair it and send you the it back in about a week.

My biggest problem, excepted the broken display, were the bugs in the system. Sometimes the message-software was hanging, but after the rom-update, I didn't have any problems.

Summary: I would buy it again.
