Microsoft Voice Command
I experienced a huge difference after I uninstalled it. In past three days, I did not see any reason to soft-reset my 6315.

I didn't follow the thread, here. Did you get Microsoft Voive Command to work? I had some problems on my 6315 - and eventually went to the Fonix application. I use the Fonix application daily.

Yes, it works, at least for a while after a soft-reset, even I installed it into SD card .

But it would stop working for no obvious reasons . When I saw the MS voice command stopped responding, or Bluetooth Manager could not be opened, or the phone's voice quality dropped to unacceptable level, I knew the PPC needed a soft-reset, even it did not lock up yet .

Before I uninstalled MS Voice Command, every time after I ran navigation with Bluetooth GPS, every time after I listened some internet radio through GPRS, I had to reset . Even if I did nothing but only turned bluetooth on, turned off PPC, then turned it back on, I would not be able to access Bluetooth Manager any more (actually I made a note to myself: remember to turn off BT before turn off PPC ), or any other control panel stuff .

I tried to remove certain things from \windows\startup\, but I noticed very little improvement .

Now, after uninstalled MS Voice Command, I can do everything above. I even tried to tune in internet radio using Media Player and turn on BT GPS and voice navigation all at the same time (and placed some phone calls too) .

Everything worked fine before and after.

That simply reminded me something. On my last PPC, I certainly did not have to reset so often. I thought it might be because those T-Mobile/HP specific software messed up the system. Now I recall that I uninstalled MS Voice Command from my old PPC too.

It is cool to tell my 6315 "Dial xxx on mobile". But I also feel silly to talk to my PPC I do not use Voice Command often anyway

Quick Update: Internet Radio/GPRS lockup may not relate to MS Voice Cmd.

I have had no problems with Voice Command freezing. I wonder if this is a software conflict.

I have trouble with voice command........sometimes, usually it works great and I wouldn't go without it and the bluetooth headset. But I don't use it in front of clients, because when it decides to not recognize me I start shouting at it. That doesn't help.

Soft reset will usually fix it. But I never attempt it in front of clients, it's not reliable enough.

I use MS Voice Command. It works decent but you still need to hit a button on the PPC to get it to work and you often have to repeat yourself to get it to do what you want it to do. It can be pretty darn annoying but all-in-all it's a decent voice program.

Maybe your problems weren't just to do with voice command, but just low memory. And so removing VC freed some of that up for you.

Just a thought

I have read this thread and decided to install the trial version of Voice Command. No problems with performance at all. It doesn't always recognize my Ukrainian accent but I am pretty glad with performance. So, the problems described above are probably caused by software conflict.
