The OS is already "installed". It's stored in ROM, and will always be there.

The amount of available memory will change continually, and will of course lower when you install applications to main memory. It is best to install applications onto removeable storage, like SD or CF cards. When you power off your iPAQ, the data will remain on the memory cards, the data will NOT be erased when there is a loss of power.

No, this cannot be done with a PPC. As mentioned above in #1, the OS is in ROM and cannot be modified.

Is there a recommended way to maybe forward all e-mails to one address and then use POP settings on the IPAQ to download them all? or how?
|
email on a PPC is set-up basically the same way as on a desktop PC. You can set-up your POP based emails, use web-based emails (with WiFi connected to internet), forwarding all emails to another specific email address can be done if your email provider allows automatic forwarding.

Under ActiveSyncs "Inbox" settings, you can choose to download attachments, specify the size, as well as the location to store the attachments (like to a storage card).
And welcome to the forums!
