battery problems

hello everybody

I bought a 6315 in Usa and I am using it in Israel: I have a problem with both batteries, backup battery is inactive, even if written 100% full, if i take out the main battery I loose all my datas, the other battery is only 2 hours life long with everything open.

The Ipaq is still under warranty, but I would prefer not to send it back to USA

Any idea? thank you

Warranty should be global. I have had sterling service in HCM city for a machine bought in Singapore.
