having problme ssetting up my Ipaq 6315
my friend gave me his ipaq cause he got a new compnay phone, and it is real low on battery. Well i charged it up for a sec, and turned it on, and after the screen that say windows mobile, "tap the screen to set up your pocket pc", so i tap the screen and nothing happens.

i press the middle button and it goes straight to a screen that that you align your screen. It reads "tap the tagert......." When i tap the target nothing happens. and i cannot get past it. sorry to be so vauge and illeiterate but i do not know what to do. can you please help thank you!

try letting it charge overnight. did your friend have the same problem before he gave it to you?

no he did not, is there anyway that the sensor or whatever that you use could be messed up somehow? can not charging it be the cause if it is low?

Since when you press the h/w buttons the ppc functions properly, seems like something is wrong with the touch screen... Best thing for you to do in my pov (if other remedies are not available) is for you to get the ppc checked from your local dealer. Hope you get your problem solved soon!

if it does need a new touch screen, is that usually an exspencive part to replace?

Try tapping the marks with a little wiggle while you do it. That's what I've always had to w/ mine, and it doesn't seem to screw w/ alignment afterward. If it works, al least you can get started w/ all the really frustrating stuff about the 6315...
