USB hosting is not supported on the PPCs by default like desktops or laptops. However there are USB CF cards that can be purchased for the PPC. Of course your PPC will have to be able to use CF cards. The only issue I see is if you use one will your PPC GPS software recognize the port the USB GPS is connected to. I cannot fully guarantee if this will work or not.
Quite a few users have invested in a Bluetooth GPS receiver. This can be used with both laptops as well as PPCs.
