Getting Better Sound out of my 6315.
hey im having trouble with my sound for my 6315 pocket PC. any way of upgrading so that i have a better/louder sound.no reason in using the speakerphone when you still can't hear people. my friend has the 6515 and it is 10000 times louder!

I have already done the rom update through T-mobile

You're not alone on that one. I think all the 6315's have this issue. The speaker also sounds like crap. It seems to distort when turned all the way up.
Try doing a search in the forum, see if someone has come up with a hack of some sort. I wonder if a better quality speaker would be the fix?

I don't own that specific device, but I do know that the internal speakers on most handheld devices are not worthwhile.
Might be better off using a headset?
The sound on my 2215 is decent at best, but when using a headset the quality is outstanding (for a handheld) and MUCH louder.

I'm also looking around for a solution. I plan to run a gps navigation sw on my 63xx which tells me where to drive. For that I need also an undistorted speaker sound, even with higher volume. I'm considering to make a test with a replacement speaker (not the original one) to see if its a speaker or an codec/amplifier problem.

For that I just use my Bluetooth earpiece. It works with my convertible. Let me know if you find a better solution,
