hi! my ipaq 6340 wifi has been playing up for a while and i have tried practically everything except return the unit for inspection!

When my wifi is switched off, the unit works perfectly and never misses a beat! the mini i switch wifi on, it crashes and goes into tilt!

9 times out of 10 , i am not able to switch the wifi off and the icon button remains amber!

sometimes a hard or soft reset causes the wifi icon to switch to a lighthouse looking icon and only then am i able to switch wifi off.

if wifi is on and goes into sleep mode - i am not able to power on without a soft reset.

This is what my settings look like (but I have just done a hard reset so not sure if i am on the latest version of bios & firmare upgrades ) :

You have indeed the actual Wifi driver on it (given that those sleepers at hp didn't publish any important updates since 2005...).

Did you already try to re-install it? If that doesn't help, it must be a hardware prob.

Yes i did reinstall so i guess it is a hardware related fault!

HTC P3600 for me pls!
