HELP !!!!!
My 6365 was recently stolen......aghhhhhh

I lost a lot of info as I hadnt synced for a couple of months BUT I do have a backup file on my PC. The problem is that HP tell me that I cannot restore the backup file to anything but the same PDA.

If this is true then I was wondering whether anyone has an old 6300 device that can restore my data. I am willing to buy the device (and then sell it again) or just use it to obtain my files. I have lost HEAPS of data so I am really hoping someone can help.

Did you use ActiveSync's backup option to create this backup file? if so there's a free piece of software you can use to extract information from this file:

Unfortunately, even if you are able to get a 6365 from someone else, I'm not sure that you would be able to restore the backup file to it. The older backup software (both IPAQ Backup and the AS backup option) are designed to only allow restoring to the original pocket pc.
