Check the Startup folder on the Pocket PC to see if there is something there:

\windows\startup

If your pocket pc normally shows a WIFI icon on the bottom of your Start page, you may see a link for IPAQ Wireless, but is there anything else there?

Julie, please watch the pic attached.
Some of the entries are known (by me) other don't. For instance:
BTTrayCE = should be something related to Bluetooth
chronos = an alarm suite but I think I'm going to cut this out of here
dbmirror = don't know what it is
iPAQKBDaemon = is related to the keyboard
iPAQwireless = enables the page to allow wireless communication (the icon on the bottom right of the PDA
poutlook = is what it is
regnotify = don't know what it is although I can get it's function from the name

Overall, it doesn't look like there is an entry for wifi

Maybe if I cancel the entry related to iPAQwireless I can avoid the wifi to turn on. Don't know........just guessing

bests
