cannot pair my jabra BT headset anymore: help please!!!
Guys, hello to everyone. As per the title, I have this issue that is driving me crazy. I had a hard reset due to wrong battery management (my fault). So I installed everything back from scratch. When trying to pair my Jabra BT200 nothing happens. I tried so many times but no results. I have read a past thread of a guy having the same problem but in a way different than mine. This guy couldn't connect to his BT headset because he restored everything with the AS restore procedure. I didn't do it: I installed everything through AS install/remove choice. I even heard it is a registry issue because in the registry it might be something about past conenctions. But as said, I had a hard reset and it is impossible that in the registry there is something left.
You will need to set up a new Bluetooth partnership with your headset. Have you put your headset into discovery mode and then tried to set up the partnership? I do this on my Motorola headset by pressing and holding the power button until a blue light comes on and stays on.

Julie, thank God someone is replying. Thank you for your help but it really looks strange. As you said I did push the on/off button until the light turns on and stays on as in the communication mode. Nevertheless nothing happens. I can try for minutes but my 6340 doesn't pick up any BT device. I even tried with a different one with no results. I'm thinking about reinstalling the rom update in case something has screwd up the previous, which of course was the most updated.
Any other clue to solved this thing? It is definitely driving me crazy!!!!!!!!
A hard reset should have deleted the previous bluetooth partnership from your pocket pc....are you sure your pocket pc went through a complete reset? Perhaps you could perform a hard reset yourself just to be sure. Is there any way to reset the headset?

Julie, the hard reset went fine indeed because nothing was there anymore. As for the hard reset of the Jabra, I don't know if there is something to do with it.........guess not though.............
This is what I found on Jabra's website for this model:
1. Delete current pairing in your mobile phone.
2. Reset your headset. To do this, plug your headset and adapter into the wall outlet to charge for 5 seconds (LED should have SOLID BLUE light) and then remove. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 times and then the unit should function normally. This is similar to 'rebooting' a computer.
3. Switch Off headset
4. Reset phone by removing and reinserting batteries and SIM card.
5. Finally, re-pair your headset and phone.

.............wait a minute Julie: check the attached pic. It says there is a way to do a sort of reset. Since though I don't have the charger here, I will let you know if it succeeded...........let's cross the fingers............all of them.....

It's a negative my friend: tried everything but nothing worked. I do really believe that these devices live their own life............and do whatever it comes to their "mind" when it comes!
Anyways, I had to do a hard reset again and prior to do the restore from AS I paired the jabra and here it comes. It is almost unbelievable how it couldn't not work before. Whatever.........how do we say here in Italy?: what comes to a happy ending is good.....guess it's good, then!
I got another issue if you happen to know something about it (which I'm sure you do): everytime I softreset it comes back alive with the WiFi on. Is there a way to avoid this?
Thanks July for your help and can't wait to read from you again
One last thing to try with the headphone. Try removing the battery in your pocket pc for about 30 seconds - this resets the hardware and so maybe it will resolve the problem.
When you soft reset, is WIFI turned off already?

Julie, good day.........As for removing the battery I did it with no results. As said, had to hard reset it. Now it's working with the jabra as well.
As for the WiFi: yes, when I soft reset wifi is off already...........

Oh! I'm glad to hear the headset is working again! So it was a hard reset that fixed it?
Check your HP Profile settings: Tap start > Settings > System tab > HP Profiles icon.
Make sure your currently used profile is not set to WIFI on.
