Unlocked Version likely to be available?
Anyone have an idea whether there will be a legitimate source for unlocked 6515s? I don't know how HP has handled this in the past... Palm for instances sells unlocked Treo 650s direct from their website.

Good question. If you have access to Ingram Micro or Tech Data who are the wholesale sources for resellers they may have them.

I asked our Ingram sales rep today about the hw65xx and he mentioned a recent email from HP indicating the "formal" launch was mid may for the hw65xx. No pricing as of yet. Now if you purchase from an online reseller who is not a cingular dealer shouldn't this be unlocked? Even if it isn't Cingular should provide the unlock code if you pay full retail.

hp has handled the warrentee badly in the past ... i paid $200 premium for a 6365, and found myself with NO warrentee caught in limbo between hp (sends you to tmobile for ALL 63xx repair) and tmobile (won't talk to you without a tmobile account)... buyer beware!... (don't take it sking unless you're failsafe... these touch screens are great, but fragile)...
