The 6700 series won't be out until next year, you should be looking for the 6515 or 6510 - camera and cameraless models.

Expansys have various sdio wifi cards under £100.

Is "next year" from HP or a web estimate ?
... and any ideas how much it's likely to be ?

Its not known yet what if any WiFi cards will work with the HW6500 its all in the drivers.

i'm an orange customer in the uk, does anyone know if i'll just be able to take my sim card out of my current phone and put it into the 6715?

In theory, yes no problem at all.
Orange lock their handsets, but unless you're buying the 6715 from them it'll most likely be "SIM Free" and as it's (rumoured) to be quad band no issues there either.
