How to delete programs?
I installed two different media mpeg players...the TCPMP and the PocketTV...

I never got the TCPMP to work so i want to go back to the PocketTV....I deleted theTCPMP folder while in activesync but in my programs location of the phone there is still the icon for the TCPMP...

how do i get rid of it from the system all together?

Hi CClarke, sometimes a program's start icon is left on the device after it has been uninstalled. Use File Explorer, navigate to Windows/Start Menu/Programs, locate and delete the icon. That should take care of it.

Are Pocket PC programs creating the same mess like Windows PC programs in multiple system folders, or they only install in one folder?(thus making it easy to delete them without add/rem ove application). (except links to the programs that exist in menus)

Pretty much the same mess. Some applications are clean with all the files residing in its own folder, but if you install applications to the default location, many of these are installed to the Windows folder with everything else and it is hard to figure out what files relate to what application. Several applications that I installed to my storage card installed some portion of the system files to the Windows folder.

It is not advisable to manually delete an application, fragments can most definitely remain on the Pocket PC and cause problems later. At the very least these items take up valuable space on the PPC. Furthermore, manually deleting applications does not remove items from the registry.
