How to connect hw6515 to the notebook using BT in order to access Internet?
Equipment:

- iPaq hw6515
- notebook hp nx7010 connected to the Internet via aDSL link

I have tried everything trying to connect the iPaq via Bluetooth to the notebook and use its Internet connection, but with no results.

- I have successfuly connected iPaq to the notebook using Bluetooth Network Services
- I have managed to share aDSL network connection using ICS
- I cannot access Internet from iPaq, I can see iPaq from the notebook and vice versa and ping each other from both directions

Any ideas?!?

Thanks!

Review the link below for hints about how to do this. Look for the section entitled, Accessing the Internet on your PDA via Bluetooth equipped PC:

http://www.aximsite.com/bluetooth/bt....htm#section11

Also check your firewall to make sure it is not inhibiting your ability to do this.

Thanks.

I took advice from another iPaq forum and I created Bluetooth ActiveSync. This way I can surf the Web using iPaq and my notebook's aDSL line. I will not insist on networking the notebook with the iPaq because for some reason it does not work.

Now my GPS does not work. No application recognizes NMEA GPS (I have several - TomTom 5.1, ViaGPS, iGo 2006... also Franson GPSGate does not see any port. I think I will have to return it to hp (I have two 6515s, the first one I have already returned back a few weeks ago and I am waiting for the verdict!!!!!!!!!!)

The concept of this uni is excellent, but some things are just awful. This is why I will not buy a new model until they introduce some improvements (better camera, at least UMTS or HSDPA instead of obsolete EDGE...)...

This device has great features packed inside but using it is simply frustrating.

never buy an camera from HP.
And test Tomtom 5.21 instead of 5.1. I have no problems whatsoever with 5.21

It's not TomTom. No GPS software can see the GPS.
