Question re: Simultaneous use of Mini-SD and SD Card Memory......

I have a 1gb Mini-SD in use, and have used the HP utility to relabel this as "Storage Card", so as to allow storage of message attachments.

I would like to get a 2gb SD card for additional memory, when not using my Spectec WLAN card.

Can both slots be used simultaneously for memory?

And if they are used simultaneously, and the Mini-SD slot is labeled "Storage Card", what is the SD card slot labeled?

No problem, I have a 1gb Mini-SD and a 500mb SD, that is simply called "Storage Card2" they work like 2 HDs would on a PC. Things can be copied between them and so on. I have not tried as big a card as 2gb though.

For me yes, I run the latest ROM though. The names were different on the old ROM. I think it was SD-Card and Mini-SD or something. Same functionality though, never had a problem.

Right, the hw6515c and -c with ROM 1.04 showed "Mini-SD", which confused the mail reader, which was looking to place mail attachments on "Storage Card", which caused HP to issue the "Card Rename Utility", which does just that.

Speaking of new ROMs, any idea of when we might see an update to 1.04 for the hw6515b ?

Meanwhile, v 1.20.31 WWE is out on the HP website.

This ROM update contains the utility that renames the card slot "Storage Card" (if one in use) and the Mini-SD card slot "Storage Card2" (if both in use).

I've been having problems while using cards in both the SD and miniSD slots at the same time. It freaks my 6515 out and won't let it sync to ActiveSync. It took me a 14 hours of massive frustration to narrow it down to the simultaneous use of the SD + miniSD cards!

I had to do a ful hard reset and only use the miniSD card and reinstall ALL of my programs all over again, delete the ActiveSync partnership and then resync to get things somewhere near normal.

I'm weary of using both the card slots at the same time again. Has anyone else experienced this or have heard of this issue?

BTW, I have a 1GB SanDisk SD card (Storage2) and a Kingston 1GB miniSD card (Storage).

Odd. Never seen this, but then I have the a slightly different version of your setup -- Kingston 2Gb Mini-SD in an SD carrier in the SD slot and a Sandisk 1Gb Mini-SD in the Mini-SD slot.
