what is necessary to display chinese font?

dear xperts,

lately i try to enable ipaq 6515 to display chinese font and been looking around website for instruction.

i have few Qs here need to clarify, can nayone here advice me? thanks

1. sunglobe.ttf or mingliu.ttf or sunfon.ttf
which font is needed or we need all three font.ttf which to be installed at
device/window/font or which folder?

2. wince.nls
which version of wince.nls needed? how to choose please ?
as we can have the wince.nls from ce-star or monster or somewhere else?
if we need the wince.nls from ce-star, is it mean we will have to install the trial version of ce-star then only keep the wince.nls in the ce-star after uninstall the trial version of ce-star?

3. registry tweak
as i read somebody suggesting the PHM, is this version is correct for my device - hp 6515.

4. what other setting needed ?

sorry,look like too many Qs!!

rgds and thanks

Hi jxing62, Welcometo Aximsite. You can save yourself a lot of trouble by downloading CE-Star Suite 2.8 R3a for WM5 (Windows Mobile 5 and 6). This software package gives you everything you need to localize your Pocket PC for the Chinese language. It costs under $40USD but you can install a free trial before you by it to make sure it's really what you need. Click on the download link on the MobeM website to find the trial version.

thanks for the reply!
actually i am having problem with the plumsip input software that make me look for the solution in the web.
the plumsip was installed into the hp 6515 and only the main menu( of the sip ) display the chinese font corectly but the rest of the portion are all in squares.
so i been thinking that if the plumsip manage to display some of the chinese font correctly then there may be hope to dsplay all correctly as i like the interface very much. logically this is right!??

i tried the ce-star and i knew it fulfil the task for me. but one thing, you mention about ce-star 2.8, but i thought ce-star 2.8 is meaned for w5 or 6, dont you think it may conflict with hp 6515 , which is wm 2003 se?

however, i woud be very much appreciated if you can give me some clues of how to manage w/o ce-star and i think there are many many ppc 2003 se user would like to know about it.

maybe it is possible to add font.ttf and wince.nls in the device and with proper tweak of the regisrty, i may install the plumsip or zta4 chinese input software.
i dont mind to sacrify the hp 6515!
what do you think?

thank and rgds
